Skid Steer Snow Blowers - Featuring the FFC Snow Blower by Paladin

Ease of use can cover a wide range of aspects. When it comes to a skid steer snow blower, there are a few that we can cover. For this to make sense, we have to first assume that we have the right snow blower attachment for my machine: Let's say it's a CAT 259D, I am sure some of you love that machine.

  • Weight is not really a factor as Snow Blowers are generally below 1500 LBS but you want to be sure your machine is up for the task of carrying the attachment.
  • Hydraulic pumps/capacities need lineup between machine and attachment. If you're running below a flow rating, you won't be throwing that wet snow very far at all. It's not really providing much ease of use in this case. In this case, my hydraulic sweet spot is between 15 and 20 GPM because of where my 259D stands with a std. flow max of 20 GPM.
  • Hydraulic functions: Does the chute rotate?
  • Electric controls - How do you intend on connecting your Skid Steer Loader to the electric over hydraulic attachment controls functions.

Video Overview with Craig Ireland

"Oh yeah, it's real HD, in fact it's EXTREME DUTY". We've all heard this one before, the attachment yard is full of attachments at a bargain but we're wondering things like, "where were these made?" "It's a cheaper attachment, but will it hold up?", to which the dealer tells you every strength testing scenario under the sun. The point is, don't believe everything you read or that is told to you, do your own research and make the call for yourself. So with that being said, what should you look for when deciding if a  Skid Steer Snow Blower is strong enough to withstand the elements?

Alright... So we've just told you how to buy a Snow Blower, now check out Andy on a Snow Washington morning clear out our warehouse driving areas and surrounding building parking lots. Yes, it's nice to be located next to on a snowy day, we're prepared.
