STEEL PRICES RISE:

The carbon steel market is poised to grow by 699.35 MT during 2020-2024 progressing at a CAGR of almost 8% during the forecast period." (Source: Business Wire)

This is what we are seeing all across the industry; day after day new emails from vendor's telling us that their prices are rising, every order we make for materials needs to be revised because the last price is no longer valid, and for good reason. The cost of steel materials has been steadily increasing throughout 2020, and it unfortunately has not slowed into 2021. The reduced capacities of companies in this industry due to Covid-19 health and safety regulations continues to have an impact. As a result, we are forced to increase our list pricing for 2021 and add a steel surcharge to off-set the rising costs that is projected to continue this year. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have on our close and prospective customers. We we will do what we can to keep our prices low when the opportunities are found, but right now we are left with little options.

Thank you for your understanding and continued support.

Product overview

Virnig V70 Skid Steer Drum Mulcher

Description

Take on any land clearing task with the Virnig v70 Mulcher. Crafted with precision and durability, the Virnig V70 Drum Mulcher can transform dense vegetation and trees up to 14" diameter into mulch.

Equipped with hydraulic flow control, the operator can easily adjust the cutting speed while operating on any terrain. The V70 also comes with a universal skid steer mount and requires a high flow rate of 30-50 GPM, and has a maximum operating pressure of 4,200 PSI. The V70 Drum Mulcher is available in a 60” or 72” cutting width, and comes with a variety of different options to choose from, including a piston style, drum style, and tooth style.

The V70 Drum Mulcher is available in fixed or variable speed piston models. The fixed piston model features a simple design that provides constant and stable motion during operation, while variable pistons allow for adjustable speed or stroke length to suit specific needs. Variable pistons provide greater versatility and finer control over system operation.

Choose between a Smooth or Bite Control Drum. Bite Control Drums have more teeth and are more efficient and maintaining drum speed, but limit the depth of material being processed. Smooth Drums offer heavy ground engagement, burrowing the mulch into the ground, but it doesn't regulate speed as well as the Bite Control Drum.

Choose between Carbide, Steel, and Hammer Style tooth options. Steel offers standard duty operation, while carbide offers a more aggressive and durable option. The Hammer Style tooth provides your operation with higher durability, higher cutting performance, and offers a wider variety of applications compared to the standard planer tooth options.

Safety

The V70 Drum Mulcher incorporates several different safety features such as safety curtains, deflectors, and a spindle low-pressure oil vent. This ensures a safe and efficient operation. Additional features add to the user-friendliness of interface, such as anti-wrap drum plates to minimize debris and wire entanglement, and a case drain connection indicator for visual confirmation of a functioning case drain. An optional pressure gauge is also available for purchase.
