STEEL PRICES RISE:
The carbon steel market is poised to grow by 699.35 MT during 2020-2024 progressing at a CAGR of almost 8% during the forecast period." (Source: Business Wire)
This is what we are seeing all across the industry; day after day new emails from vendor's telling us that their prices are rising, every order we make for materials needs to be revised because the last price is no longer valid, and for good reason. The cost of steel materials has been steadily increasing throughout 2020, and it unfortunately has not slowed into 2021. The reduced capacities of companies in this industry due to Covid-19 health and safety regulations continues to have an impact. As a result, we are forced to increase our list pricing for 2021 and add a steel surcharge to off-set the rising costs that is projected to continue this year. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have on our close and prospective customers. We we will do what we can to keep our prices low when the opportunities are found, but right now we are left with little options.
Thank you for your understanding and continued support.

Product overview
The Eterra Stinger Spiral Splitter
Description
This is a product that will add a ton of value and versatility to your auger attachment. The Eterra Spiral Splitter for skid steers is ideal for splitting logs so they can easily be handled. Although some operators have had success splitting stumps, that is not the intended application of the Stinger Spiral Splitter.
The Stinger is a spiral log splitter designed to use on logs, breaking them apart, and making them easier to handle and move. The Stinger will fit and operate easily on all Eterra Auger Drives or other Auger Drives that have a 2" Hex Output shaft. If you are splitting hardwoods you'll want the 3500 or 4500 auger drive, which will give you enough torque (2700 ft. lbs or more) to avoid the splitter getting stuck.
Why should you consider buying the Stinger? First consider how much you would pay for a dedicated splitter that could handle the logs at their fallen location. Secondly consider how many logs you need to split and how frequently you are needing to do this kind of work. Is it worth buying dedicated log splitter, or would the simple Stinger get the job done? Also consider the ease of use and only having to unpin the current auger bit hanging, and pin in the Stinger onto the Auger attachment, it's very easy and takes little time. A dedicated splitter can cost several thousands of dollars and so if you're doing a lot of logs, that might make more sense to purchase. If you're only doing a few or more logs at a time, then the Stinger is a low-cost consideration and contender to get the job done.
How does it work?
Simply position the splitter over your log, engage your hydraulics and start splitting. The starter tip feeds the splitter into the log so it doesn't overload itself, and as it drives down into the log you'll hear and witness the log beginning to split. The problem with many other splitters of this style is that they build up a lot of heat if you are continually splitting. This heat will pass up the main shaft and into the auger and will soon blow the main seal of your auger. Eterra's design prevents this from happening by shedding the heat before it gets to your auger.
