Skid Steer Mulcher: Model DAF-150D

The Denis Cimaf model DAF-150D is the smallest of their front-mounted Skid Steer models. With a cutting width of 59", the 150D requires a minimum hydraulic flow of of 23 GPM and 75 horsepower. Skid Steer Mulcher: Model DAF-180D

The DAF-180D is by far the most popular and best-selling of Denis Cimaf's front-mounted Forestry Mulchers. The 180D features a larger cutting width when compared to the 150D at 74". Machine power of 85 HP and minimum hydraulic flow of 30 GPM are required to operate the DAF-180D to full capabilities. The optimal target material diameter for the 180D is 8". Skid Steer Mulcher: Model DAF-180E

The DAF-180E is the largest of the Denis Cimaf models that can be front-mounted on some of the largest skid steer and compact track loaders. Very similar to the 180D in many respects, the 180E stands out due to its larger rotor diameter, capable of an optimal target material of 10", the largest mulching capability of any model available at Skid Steer Solutions. In order to operate this large Mulcher Attachment, operators will need 125 horsepower and 45 GPM of hydraulic flow. Mulcher Attachment Feature: Wear Liner and Skid-Plates

You're going to put your Skid Steer Mulcher to the test, and Denis Cimaf knows this. Designed for heavy application and heavy speeds, it's no surprise that the attachment has wear parts that need to be paid attention to. Denis Cimaf has considered this, and includes a replaceable wear liner and skid-plates with every unit. The replaceable wear liner limits the wear of the casing of the attachment, especially in the inner part of the mulcher where the rotor is housed. It is easily removed and replaced with a simple set of bolts and you can find this part from either Denis Cimaf or Skid Steer Solutions.

The same goes for the skid-plates of the mulcher. These plates come in contact with the ground during heavy mulching and protect the case of the machine and limit serious damage. Only three bolts are required to secure the skid-plates, making them very fast and simple to replace once the have completed their protection of the greater attachment whole.

When clearing larger or older vegetation areas, it's common for operators to encounter larger trees that need to be removed. The safest and most time-tested method involves grinding and mulching down about half of the base of the tree's stump, then pushing the with the attachment and the machine until the full tree breaks and falls. With this hydraulic push-bar, you'll be able to more precisely control the fall of the tree, and also increase the space between your machine and the falling tree. From there, utilize your powerful mulcher attachment to take care of the remaining stump and now land-based tree.
