We are a family run business based in Bellingham, Washington. Don't let our location fool you, our trucking costs are contract based and are very low. We built our first attachment in 1994. They were a simple set of chain tracks. This was our only product until the introduction of our backhoe in 1998. We had tried to sign up dealers to carry our products with no luck so we decided to try the internet. Our first web site was www.bobcattracks.com. It did not last long because the big brothers at Bobcat felt that we were infringing on their name and threatened to sue us to death.

We then launched www.loadertracks.com which was a success, but we soon realized that it did not convey our true intent. Since we were building custom products based on our customers needs, we decided on Skid Steer Solutions. This has been a perfect match for what we are all about. When you contact us, we try to find a solution for your needs. Lots of times this involves us sending you to another manufacturer, but you will remember us. We gave you the information you needed to make an informed decision and did not try to sell you something you did not need. This is how we like to be treated when we want to buy something and so this is what you should expect from us.

Now the tough part. How to market our products? Since we could not get dealers to help us out in the early days, we cut our margins to the bone and went straight to the customers directly through our web site and eBay. This has been a great success and we get to know each of you directly. By knowing you and your needs, we get information right from the market for our new ideas. If you are a past customer, you will know exactly what I am talking about. You may have called and asked if we had a certain product, and we said just gives us a couple of weeks. Two weeks later, you get a call that the product now exists. This means a lot to our customers. You get input on our products. You get top quality right out of our factory and you get the best price that we can offer.

Unfortunately it means NO DEALERS. Sorry guys. There are no dealer discounts offered. You are welcome to buy our products, but you will pay the same price as our other customers. Our terms are prepaid and you can use any means available, but we will not ship on terms. By doing business this way, we never have never had an accounts receivable. No losses to unpaid bills means we can remain even more competitive to our customers.

A note about our competitors. We welcome competition. We hate imitators. There are a lot of web based companies that have copied our products, our services and even the look of our web site. We welcome you to call them and discuss their products, then call us and see the difference. When you imitate something, many times you are not really sure just why it is designed a certain way. When you are the innovator of a product, you know exactly why you built it the way you did. That information is quickly relayed to you when you contact us which further cements our position as the premier manufacturer of skid steer attachments.

Since we don't always have the best ideas first, we have teamed with other suppliers to help fill our gaps in our product lines. What this means to you is that these products are brought here for testing and necessary changes are made to meet our criteria. The manufacturer then will build the item to our specifications and we will sell it on their behalf. If you see this item offered by another company, it may not be the same so watch out. We are very picky and thus additional work may be done to an item per our specifications which may be done here and not even be made available to the original vendor. Sometimes an inventor may have a good idea and not want to change the implementation. We will buy just the parts from him and implement it the way it should be to work best for our customers. Why do we go to so much trouble with our companies products? Because you will notice it and become a customer for life.

When you buy from us, we are not just going to sell you an item. You are going to gain a contact that is always there to help you regardless of who' product you are using. That is what we are all about.

UPDATE SPRING 2008:  The eTerra line is up and running.  We have just purchased a new distribution center and are filling it with inventory.  Check out the eTerra pages for the products as they come available.   Anything under the eTerra name will be dealer friendly and will be available on a multiple purchase basis.  This means a $25,000 or 10 item purchase minimum to be qualified as a dealer.  Keep watching as the new web site and product line unfolds.
