Skid Steer Extreme Duty Buckets for Most Modern Bobcat Style Skidsteer Loaders
We figured that if we were going to do it, we may as well do it right. If you are looking for an inexpensive bucket, this is the wrong place. If you have already bought a cheap bucket and watched it self destruct, then this is the place to buy a bucket that will last.
Look at the bucket shown below. We bought a competitors bucket for $575, paid $275 for shipping from North Carolina and used the bucket for 4 hours breaking up a road base consisting of compacted 5 inch rock base embedded in rock. Within 1 hour a tooth fell off, then another lifted and the bucket tore open. The next thing was the cutting edge cracked in half and fell right off the bucket. Our savings by buying a cheap bucket came to a cost of $200 per hour for something which is not even reusable. Anyone want to buy a really cheap bucket?
We used our bucket for the next 20 hours of work and except for the paint and scrapes, the bucket looks almost like new.

Why did this happen?
Short amount of time spent on the bucket and lack of understanding on how a bucket will be used by the manufacturer. All buckets consist of dis-similar metals. Time must be spent pre-heating the materials so that the welding process will hold or the bucket just falls apart. Buckets must be properly reinforced with the correct materials or they will flex too much during use and aid in cracking the welds which will also lead to failure. Time and materials add to the cost... You do get what you pay for with our buckets... Time and materials.
