Description Photo Gallery - Click Here Video Gallery   PD-550-A High Impact Post Driver - Non Tilt-Tach Model Beta version known as the PV-102-R The PD-550 uses a high impact 550 ft. lb. gas charged concrete breaker powercell with a specially adapted mount and cup. The power that the PD-550 puts to the post is phenominal.  Based on our popular S40 High Impact Breaker, the PD-550 harnesses this power to put posts where you need them FAST. This is a proven system with no rubber mounts to wear out and break. Our new universal cup keeps you from having to buy several cups. All of the cup sizes you need are supplied with our unique uni-cup system. Utilizing your existing tilt cylinder, you can alter the fore and aft angle. Our design works like a dream. It should, it was designed by Skid Steer people for our customers. Employing a nitrogen gas back head as the energy store, the piston is lifted directly into the gas using the hydraulic oil from the loader hydraulics. As the piston reaches the top of the stroke the hydraulic oil is permitted to exit the hammer allowing the nitrogen gas to decompress and driving the piston to the bottom of the stroke forcefully impacting the working tool. Post Driver July 23, 2010 Reviewer: Nick Dyer from Bowral, NSW, Australia   We have been using the PD 550 for about 3 weeks now, and all I can say is it is fantastic. I had to enlarge the hole on the bolt on guide plate from 150 to 170mm in diameter to enable the posts to fit. Although specified at 125-150mm many of the posts are larger. Some are still tight at 170mm. Getting the posts vertical is not a problem in fact the new fences look better than those put in with a traditional rammer. Was this review helpful to you?

Great post driver April 25, 2008 Reviewer: Powder River Fencing Inc. from Buffalo, WY United States   A big thanks to Rob and the crew at skid steer solutions for letting us do the beta testing on the PV-102-R post driver. Since we started the testing of the driver in November of last year, we have used it on a daily basis with phenomenal results. Through winter we used it in frost, we found it worked very well with pipe and tubing, but needed pilot holes for the wood post when the frost exceeded 12 inches. We have tested the driver in various soil types and it works very well in all of them. The safety of the driver is also apealing to our company as there are no hammers or falling weights thus less concerns of injury to our employees.
