| We are excited to announce that we are about to receive some recognition from Bobcat in their own strange way. It turns out that in the summer of 2005 a potential customer of ours called asking questions about what attachments he should buy to start up a hurricane clean-up business. In our usual manner, we spent time with him to help him develop a plan of action.
One of his questions was what machine he should buy. Because he was planning on working in extensively landscaped yards and wanted to do the minimum amount of damage, we recommended a Bobcat A300. This fellow's name was John Gursoy of Naples, Florida. John took meticulous notes and then went away. We heard from him a few weeks later when he had ordered his machine and now needed to get some attachments.
What was his first order? In September 2005, John ordered the following to aid in Katrina clean-up in New Orleans.
QA-60 - High Flow Clean-up Mower
GR-72 Root Grapple
Demo Dozer 78" Clean-up Grapple
Stumper 280H - High Flow Stump Grinder
FK-48 - 48" Forks
The plan was to ship these to Gulf Port, MS and John would pick them up on the way to New Orleans, but by the time the products were 1 day away, John's home of Naples, Florida took a direct hit. We re-routed the shipment directly to John so he could get to work. His business quickly exploded to the point that John needed more attachments. He has since ordered the following as his business has expanded.
- DG-84 Scraper Box
96" Mega Broom
TB-03 Tree Shear
EZ-Spot-UR
EH5000e Series Backhoe
EH5000e Grapple
EZ-Spade Tree Spade
Back-up Camera
So what does all of this have to do with the Bobcat company? They publish a magazine called WorkSaver and they heard about John's lucrative business and all of his attachments. They dispatched a writer to meet John and what a surprise did he get. He expected to be writing a story about John, his Bobcat and and all of his Bobcat Brand attachments. Instead all that he saw was Skid Steer Solutions Attachments. Bobcat stuck with their story, took pictures of John and his machine, but left out all of those fine Skid Steer Solutions Attachments. In fact, the photo in the article shows an A300 with a Bobcat grapple. The picture is not of John's machine as he does not own any of their grapples.
So,,,, what you have to remember to do is that everytime the article mentions the word "attachment", remember that what they really mean is "Skid Steer Solutions Attachment" and the pictures are not of the actual machine or attachments.
And that my friends is how Bobcat finally recognized Skid Steer Solutions!

September 2007 Update:
John's business is flying high! He recently purchased an 84" Harley rake and is working on maintaining property and not just clean-up.
